LI: To use our smart searching skills.
For this assignment, we used our smart searching skills to create an informative paragraph on the North Island Kokako bird. To gather all the information we need to find three links about Kokako birds, diet, habitat, interesting facts, and scientific name. We used different kinds of online resources. It is believed that the Kokako is an extinct bird. However, there is a belief that a small population may still exist on the South Island and Stewart Island.
I enjoy this activity, because I learned something new.
Kia ora Angie,
I really like how you added flowers and I liked the colours you used, They were really creative. And I also like how you had a lot of detail in your explanation. Have you ever considered adding more different flower like roses or sunflowers. I was wondering if you knew what the word wattle means?
Thank you for your feedback Dito. The word “wattle” refers to a bird’s neck function that was used to cool off excess heat. I decided not to add any more flowers because I thought it might be too much.
