Kick starter and Step up

For this task, we’re looking into some interesting facts about Jacques Cousteau and then creating a scary deep-sea creature. As a pair, we research two fun facts about Jacques Cousteau. Did you know that Jacques Cousteau learned to swim when he was just four years old? For our kick starter we imagined ourselves as Jacques Cousteau discovered a sea creature in the deep sea. We looked up ‘scary deep-sea creatures’ and combined some of the creatures together to create our own deep-sea creatures. The creatures we combined is Lamprey and Handfish to make our deep sea creature. Lastly for step up we’ll used AI Craiyon and describe our sea creature to see if the AI image is similar to what we’ve drawn.

I find this activity interesting and enjoyable because it’s really creative.

Ancient Olympic

LI: To use our smart searching skills to help us explore the Ancient Olympic games.

LI: To work collaboratively in groups as an active participant and contributor.

For this task we had to research information about ancient Olympics.

The first ancient Olympics started in 776 BC in Olympia in Greece. At the start there was only racing, Years later they added more sports at ancient olympics, for example chariots raced, boxing, wrestling, and pankration. The winner also receives Oliver leave crown and statue as a reward. Women were only allowed to train horses that time. In 776 B.C.E Heraean games started, which were only for Womans.

We get into a group of 4 and each of us chooses a question to solve. Lastly we created a venn diagram to write the difference between mens ancient olympics and Heraean games and what their similarities are.

I enjoy that activity, because I learned lots of  things about the ancient olympics.

Information Report about Swamp Tigers

LI: To write an information report that informs the reader about the Swamp Tiger.

We used our smart searching skills to find facts about the Bengal Swamp Tiger. Once we had found the information we needed we made notes in our own words. We used these notes to help us write our information reports. Information reports give readers with information on a chosen topic by providing them with facts.

Swamp Tigers are animals that are really hard to find which makes them very mysterious. Their scientific name is Panthera Tigris Tigris and they lived in the islands of India and Bangladesh. Did you know that in different countries the Swamp Tigers have different names.

Swamp tigers have an orange body with black stripes and a white belly. They have pointed teeths, long whiskers and strong paws. An adult Swamp Tiger could weigh up to 420 pounds.

Swamp Tigers are carnivores. ( which means they only ate meat ). They eat Wild boars , crabs, fish, rats, frogs, Chital (deer), otters , turtles , Fishing cats , wild pigs and even Humenbeings! Their behavior makes them protective over their territory which makes them big predators over their land.

Swamp tigers mostly live in Mangrove Forest (A place in India and Bangladesh) and Sunderban. They like to live in a warm and wet place. Some swamp tigers left their trances around Myanmar, China, Bhutan and Nepal. Do you think that these creatures only live in Sunderban?

Did you know swamp tigers are unsocial animals? Many of them live alone and some of them live in a small group. They are also excellent swimmers and a good hunter at night.

Because people keep taking the habitat from the swamp tiger. Now they have become an endangered species. Do you think that people should stop taking the land from swamp tigers ?

Swamp Tiger

LI : To create a multi – modal DLO that tells others about Swamp Tiger.

We got in a group of pairs to research Swamp Tiger this week.

We wrote appearance, diet, habitat, behaviour and interesting facts about Swamp Tiger. Swamp Tiger is a type of a tiger that mostly lives in Bangladesh and India. We also recorded videos for each slide.

When we are done we go to another group to watch their video to see if their slides have some new information that we never know.

I find this activity is interesting. Because I learned some new things about Swamp Tigers.

Wordfind

This week we learned how to use google apps for different purposes. Today we made our own worfinds on the slide.

We talked about blogging with our teacher. The word that we use in wordfinds must be appropriste for our Blogs. We discussed the template, and read it though it, After that we made a copy and created our own one.

At the end I enjoy doing this, because I like it.

Copyright and Attribution

This term for cybersmant, we are focusing on Smart Media. Today we learnt what “copyright” is, and what it means for the media we use in our learning and creating.

First we discussed the idea of copyright and ownership with Mr Goodwin and Miss Tele’a.

Next we watched a video. Then Mr Goodwin showed us our task.

Lastly, we had to find our own examples of media online. Here is my work :

Pixel Art

This week we learned about pixels. Pixels is a dot by dot to make into an art.

First we need to look at the picture and then go to the “8 Bit Art”. “8 Bit Art” is a website that lets you use pixels to draw things. We look at the picture and count how many in each row. After that we just need to colour it into the correct colours.

At the end I enjoy doing this, because I like it.

Stopmotion Car Google Slides Animation

This week we learned about stopmotion car Google slides animation. Before we did that we went to the Google meet and answered some questions from the quiz.

Then we need to do an animation using cars.We slowly move the picture from each slide to make it looks like a video. We need at least make 150 slides.

At the end I enjoy doing this, because I liked animating it.

Google Meet Etiquette
